I dont know what to say. This past year and a half has been the best. I love every moment. Even the hard things because they helped me grow.
I dont have much time at all. We are in Uyuni for our last pday here! But I can share my testimony I know that God lives and so does our Savior Jesus Christ. If anything in this time that is what I am sure of. I know that because they live that we can feel their love. Iknow that theres a plan for our lives here on earth. I know that we can build a relationship with God when we pray. I know that Christs church was restored and I know that the book of mormon is the word of God. I know that bible is too and that as we read them together we come to have a greater understanding of GOd and His Son. I have so many weaknesses but I know that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true and that we can repent of our sins and be clean through Jesus Christ. I invite you all to have an experience with them. Pray. Come unto Him and receive peace in your hearts. I know that this in not the end I know that a life of service awaits! SEe you soon thanks for your support in this time for your letters and love With love, Hermana Campana

This week was different because we stayed in for the weekend because of elections but also Thursday was my last zone conference. It felt super weird. I feel super weird. Time flies.
But I know that each day is a new oppportunity to take it all in and find people to teach. President Montoya told me in an interview to focus on one investigator. To do all I can to help them be prepared for the next sister that comes to see a baptism. We worked hard this transfer and found new people to teach. More than anything I had experiences I needed to have. I know that this church is true with all my heart .I know that God lives and he loves us more than we can imagine. Heres my week in pictures! Well hello there friends and family! This week flew by faster than last. Each week feels that way but it also feels like last monday was so long ago. I dont understand how that works haha So this week we traveleed to Cocha to have a training meeting and it was also my last one :( We had to sing for a baptism that the elders had and I was embarrased to be laughing at the practices so much but I cant help it sometimes I just laugh ... everything is funny. I feel that my emotions are all over the place right now, I dont know if to feel sad or happy, most of the time I ignore how much time I have left but people are always reminding me exactly how many days -.- But I loved some lessons that we had this week .So during exchanges we had a day full of miracles. We taught Familia Cardona. They felt the spirit during the lesson and at the end the mom Zulma said she wanted to do everything to be closer to God and feel His power in her life so her and her kids accepted to be baptized! They thanked us for teaching them.. that we were helping them a ton ( we've only gone 2 times) I think its not so much what we've taught but that they feel the difference. They feel the spirit, they feel that the promises of God are true for those who make changes in their lives to live in harmony with Gods commandments. ] We then found a family through a reference that is so humble and sweet. They are a young couple who have 2 kids and are so receptive to the spirit also. They accepted to be baptized also but they need to get married first. They are so cute, ah I love people here so much. I admire their love for God and their families. I admire their desire to change and be betteer. This week was great! I love my comp this time with her has been incredible because I feel I have been able to talk about things I reallly needed to but hadnt brought up. Shes been through the same things I have in life and we connect is such a special way. I love her sweet self and the interest she puts in helping the sisters in the zone progress and be happy. Life is Great! The mission is the best! I am going to miss teaching so much. :( But yea, that was it for this week Love you all, Hermana Campana 1) Pass along cards 2) Our area 3) with Hermana Gomez 4) We went to eat salteñas today Well this week was all full of suprises and miracles.
We had to travel 8 hours in a bus to get to Tupiza and do exchanges with the sisters there. It was tiring but we saw miracles with them. We were able to stay awake and work all day there with them! We got to get on a torito'' which is a 3 wheel mini car. Theyre really cute and fun to ride on. My favorite part was being able to bond super well with the sisters and really get to know them and their needs since theyre so far away from other sisters. We focused on being representatives of Jesus Christ at all times. We had the opportunity to teach someone yesterday that broke my heart. Shes a 12 year old that has been through so much, much more than any other person I have ever taught. I am grateful that the opportunity showed up at church to talk to her, and Im grateful for her trust and being able to discern her thoughts to be able to help her and comfort her. I know that no matter what we have been through we can all receive forgiveness and peace in our hearts. We can be healed. ''With His stripes we are healed'' I also loved a baptism we went to in my comps last area. The spirit was so strong. The love and happiness I felt during that baptism was amazing! It was the same I felt for my own converts. I realized that the joy is the same because its the start of a new life, its another soul that has entered into a covenant with the Father. I know that the greatest source of joy comes from obeying Gods commandments and entering into the waters of baptism. I love the scripture in Helaman 15:13 it talks about how all will be brought again to the knowledge of their Savior, their true and great shepard. I know that through our service this promise is coming true. Love you all, Hermana Campana So my new comp is from Buenos Aires, Argentina! Shes so cute Ill send some pics of our adventures this week. She loves to matear (its an argentinian way to drink herbal tea) She explained to me the purpose behind matear. Its all about friendship and culture. We're getting along super well I feel happy.
We have some really great goals for this transfer and what to focus on in the exchanges with the sisters in the zone. We have felt we need to focus on Remembering who we are as Representatives of Jesus Christ. It felt so good expanding on the topic and thinking of more that we can share about this. I loved a scripture that our new District Leader shared on Tuesday. ''Behold, I speak with boldness, having authority from God; and I fear not what man can do; for perfect love casteth outall fear.'' Moroni 7:16 I love this verse because it reminds me of who I represent in this time. I also can testify that love casts out fear. Before the mission would not have done many of the things I do now to share the gospel with people. So My favorite experience of the week is about following the spirit when contacting. So we felt we needed to go out of our way to an alleyway and contact there. We knocked on the only door and a family was cleaning their house because it hadnt been used for some months and now they were planning to move in. So we offered to help. We somehow went it and began helping them wash their floors. We got to know them very well and they wanted us to come back the following day to share a message with the whole family. We went helped them clean some more then they all sat down ready to listen. We had such a good lesson! I know we were led to them and that we gained their trust by serving. So yea its been a week of finding new people to teach and little spiritual experiences like that where I know God is leading me and my comp. I love being here, I love Sucre. I love my comp and taking each day at a time. so I forgot to explain the pictures. So my comp's mom is from Tarija Bolivia and so our pensionista cooked a plate from there This is familia Tolaba theyre a young family that wants the gospel in their lives so their kids have a better life Mateando at night hahah so we Got lost today we had no idea where the bus took us but we just took another one back :) teehee adventures With the zone! Eating some good food at the Relief Society presidents house We found some christmas lights at the house :) The pretty eagle in our area Families can be together forever.
So this week on Thursday Mauricio Duran got baptized! It was the best because it was a suprise to his family especially to his parents. In his family they are all converts but he was the last to decide to be baptized. The moment he told us he wanted to was too special for me. But here are some pictures of his baptism!! His parents could not believe it! It was such a sweet moment to watch, Also Fabian Esteves got baptized this Saturday, it was a bit hard to plan his baptism in just one day but it all worked out and the ward helped so much. They were so friendly and loving to him! Hes the only member in his family. So yea this week was just so emotional but also very full of spiritual experiences. I felt such gratitude for the opportunity to be here serving the beautiful people of Sucre, Bolivia! I have seen that I have changed, I want to be obedient now not just because its the right thing to do but because I love God and Jesus Christ. I have seen the power that the scriptures have in my life when I study them each day and let the things God wants to tell me just flow as personal revelation. I feel I have a greater understanding of who I am, A daughter of God and as a literal daughter of Him I have the potential to become like Him and live with Him.... coming to understand that even a bit more than before changes my perspective about life and the things I choose to do each day and the plans for the future. I know that the gospel of Jesus Christ that I have the oppportunity to share each day is true. It is pure and real and it changes people. I invite you all to receive the missionaries of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints and see what Im talking about. I lvoe you all This is a picture of our dear convert in Siglo XX Cochabamba I love her smile... shes changed so much since we first taught her. I know that the gospel and living the commandments brings such a light to each person. I love Laura so much and the faith she always did have. I love Sundays ...Everything comes together on Sundays.
This week was crazy we didnt have many proselyting days because of conferences with Elder Montoya that came to visit Bolivia. We traveled on Wednesday to Potosiand Saturday to Cochabamba. Lots of time on a bus or plane but It was all worth it. I received so much revelation regarding the way to work in our area and my last transfer in the mision. I know I n eed to give my whole heart. I love how the Lord teaches me and leads me to read and ponder the words thatt will help me in the times I most need them. We finally figured out how to befriend the mean dogs that always want to eat us ... we brought them a treat, crossing our fingers that they would take that as ''we are friends now'' and they did!! but the greatest miracle happened yesterday. We talked to Mauri. We had felt we needed to soon. He's our eternal investigator that we felt was scared to be baptized. We have been praying tons for him and we felt we needed to talk a walk with him and talk about how he feels. It worked wonderfully. Its nothing we said or did he just opened up and in the end he said ''si quiero, si soy digno'' We could not believe it! We cried with him and we felt overjoyed. So it a surprise for his parents! Itll be the best! Here are some pictures 1) Kids! haha theyre part of a cute convert family
2) after exchanges 3) When youre feeling tired jajaj 4& 5) Familia Duran at Juan Pablos wedding . Bautismos en siglo xx desde que me fui se bautizo hna Damiana la mama de mis conversos aww y argelia y jenifer y Geancarla Me dolio no poder ir pero me senti igual de feliz les amo tanto Well this week on Thursday there was a hail storm that was crazy it left Sucre looking white! IT was so cold after. The weather here is crazy weird. That morning it was sunny.
So this week we saw more miracles. Theres no time Ill explain more next time. 1) After a good cita 2) I wil miss this 3) Delicias Ward 4) The almost snow haha Well this week was humbling and miraculous!
Getting used to Sucre has been rough but this week I was humbled and I learned that God's will is always greater than mine. I had such amazing experiences as I trusted in the Lord. My companion and I decided we needed to pray one afternoon as we were looking for people to teach and after doing so we still didn't know exactly what door to knock on or what street to go to but I learned that we truly do have our agency and we have to do much good of our own free will and then God will approve. We then felt to go down an alleyway and knocked on the first door. Marina came out and we instantly knew she was going to be great. It's awesome how I've been able to develop a greater awareness to the spirit's whisperings in the mission. She indeed was receptive and told us about her desire to repent and be at one with God and herself, it was wonderful to come in her home and share a message of hope and love from our Savior Jesus Christ. I know without a doubt that this gospel is true and it can bring anyone who accepts it with a sincere heart peace and hope and even joy! Well, this week I also got lost in my area haha. We had exchanges and I had to be alone leading it with another sister...Well I almost cried but I learned that I just need to trust God. That even if I feel lost he will help me find the way around, when I realized that I stopped stressing out and was able to find each place we had to go to it was a humbling experience. I couldn't do it alone but with God I felt safe and was able to lead without really knowing where I was going almost as it says in 1 Nephi 4:6. So then Saturday night we saw a miracle happen. So we've been struggling a bit to find people to teach or more like people who are willing to commit and truly change their lives. Fabian is someone that the hermanas here have been teaching for some time. He always wants to know more and know everything before accepting a date to be baptized. So in our last appointment with him before Saturday he had asked more about baptism but wasn't so sure. Saturday we asked if he had read his pamphlet and he did! He said he had read it the same night we gave it to him! That he really liked it and we asked him...Do you have the desires to be baptized? he said a firm "Si" and then I explained why we like to set a date with the people we teach he told us before we stopped talking that he had been thinking about the end of this month...(Woah we had planned that date with him) I said well we were just thinking about this too. He so willingly and happily accepted a date for the 28th of this month! It was so simple and perfect. I know that God prepared him and led him but he was humble to listen to the spirit and not reject the feelings he had about baptism as he read his pamphlet and the Book of Mormon. So that's our big miracle of the week. I know that when we work hard and are humble our fair goals are accomplished sometimes in unexpected ways. Hope you all have a blessed week! Enjoy each day! Pray and reconcilate yourself with him. I love you all, Hna Campana So hey! Im in Sucre now!
I had transfers. My new area is the opposite of everything in Siglo xx Traveling was crazy and getting there even more, it was freezing cold and it started to rain haha Everythng is hills! But really I know Im supposed to be here so that makes me feel peaceful and happy and motivated to walk up those hills each day. My new comp is Hna Kincaid shes from Alaska! Shes really cute! Im ''' killing her'' as they call it here. Shes going home after this transfer. Theres not too many investigators in this area yet but we've been working hard to find more. We saw miracles as we set goals and specifically prayed to find those ready to accept the restoration message and to be able to recognize them, and we did! almost everyday! God is great and His miracles are real if we have faith to see them. I want to work hard and leave my all here in Sucre my last area in the mission! Truly the mission has brought me the greatest of blessings, some I couldnt have imagined to ever see. I love my Heavenly Father and I know he loves me. He is aware of me. He answers my prayers, he did through the conference talks this weekend! I know this work is true. With love, Hna. Campana My heart is broken. I dont want to leave Siglo XX
I couldnt stop crying saying goodbye to familia espinoza today but well thats the mission we always have transfers. Im going to go to Delicias, Sucre and be the last companion of Hna Kincaid haha. Im happy becuase Ive never been outside of cochabamba but also sad because this all I know and to finish my mission outside its so sad. But I know that God knows better than us. This week was great!! This week we said goodbye to a lot of people. And one of the member's daugthers wanted to straighten my hair so I let her haha that was yesterday. It was very special to see walter our convert receive the priesthood this Sunday! Seriously him and his sister are such strong converts and with their example they have helped Giancarla their older sister want to take this step too! We had lunch with them on sunday it was the best! so fun haha The mission is the best thing ive ever done. I encourage all to think about going and all to hear the missionaries at least once. Love you alll, Hermana Campana Here are some pictures of today saying goodbye also with hna Christensen. 1) With Cesar and Amanda 2) With Laura and the teddy she gave me she said it reminded her of me haha awwww 3) The Espinoza Siblings!!! aww 4) In the taxi going to visit Nicolas in the hospital to say goodbye Hey there friends and family!
This week was so much better than the last. What did I do differently changed my attitude about everything, I really tried to see the good in everyone and everything, I love this area and the converts here and those that are choosing to follow Jesus Christ and be baptized. Rayza and Walter are such strong youth. They are the perfect example of true faith. They believe and they act. As we see that faith without works is dead. I am also grateful for the leaders God calls. Presidente Montoya has helped me alot this week in my interview and when he taught in the conference this week. I was able to feel God's love for me through his words. My favorite part of being a missionary is the change we can see in those we teach. Argelia suprised me this week! She was sweter than usual and had this light about her and she understood all the commandments we taught her, and the best part she shared the gospel. shes a little missionary! Well have a great week y'all haha There might be transfers next week it makes me sad but this scripture helps! Joshua 1:9 Truly the scriptures can help at any moment of our lives. love you, Hna Campana 1) Rayza and Walter got baptized this weekend! They both are awesome converts and want to go on a mission! 2) Bought some cool rings today, he has so much talent! 3) Dinner with our ward mission leader Juan carlos and his wife. Theyre the best! Sharing this cambio with the elders and them was the best 4) With Rayza and Walter's family at their baptism! Ok so this week it snowed tons but in the mouintains it was cold and cloudy after that happened! It was perfect because the day before that happened we were singing christmas hymns. Ah I wish we could of gone up there it was beautiful!
So Cesar and Amanda are doing so well, theyre receiving answers, Cesar was going through the pages of the BOM and found Moroni 10:29 ! They came to church also!! and are thinking about a date to be baptized. I love their family so much and Im grateful that with time all is possible. That they are feeling that everyhing is true and are acting to recieve a firm answer. I love to see the change in those we teach. The light in their eyes. This Sunday we had stake conference and it was perfect. They talked about families but my favorite part was a question... Is Jesus Christ my God? .... and thinking of what that meant in my life. 1) In consejo this week 2) With Presidente and his wife 3) Familia Espinoza! 4) This is what I need to eat from now on 5) But before that This! One last time Well this week was good normal you know. The only bad thing was that I was sick all week but God gave me the strength to push through and work.
I absolutely love Bolivia. the music the folklore, the food the people. I love the bonds. I never want to leave Siglo XX but I have a feeling I might have to when we have transfers. This week well Damiana is progressing so well. She is the sweetest human being and also committed she came to church twice already even though her husband doesnt. She understands that its important to come and not work that day. She is so very grateful that we arrived at her home to teach her kids she says shes happy that of her kids are going to church but that she prays some day all her kids will be there at church! Its so cute! She cant read but she asks her son Nicolas to read to her and she remembers to explain it to us when we ask her, and she prayed in front of the whole class in gospel principles this Sunday! Aw it was the cutest she pretty much just thanked God for us. I loved reading Mosiah 8:18 during exchanges this week on Wednesday. God makes a way for everything and that by faith we can become of great help to everyone around us. We are here to help one another. And at times we forgett that, we become selfish and then sad... but if we just serve someone, listen, talk, think about anyone else other than your own I promise your day will be better. Well, not much else happened this week, but here are some cute pics. 1) Making pancakes with Raul and Cesar and Amanda 2) In Exchanges with Hna Condori! and Damiana (Laura's mom) Shes listening to us now and going to church! She also wants to be baptized! 3) Laura made us a ''sprng'' cake! Shes the best! 4) with mama Isabel :) 5) When sick you can always count on Laura! She didnt want me to be cold walking home haha 1) Rousbell and Luis' baptism!!
2) Rousbell and his gf Carminic Theyre so cute awww 3) Selfie with them 4) Hahahaha strengthened 5) I saw her again! 6) White night :) 7) Interchanges with Hna Madsen! Shes so cute It was so fun to be with her for a day So this week was great. Super tiriing but fun. The best part was the baptism. Luis and Rousbell got baptized! They are both really good converts. They shared their testimony after their baptism and I felt so happy that they both felt the difference and that they trust in God so much. I am grateful to be able to see the changes in people when they come to know the gospel of Jesus Christ. Ill write more next week :) 1) The best Cheese Empanadas everrr!!!! 2) The sun was too hot but we went up to Valle Grande this week ! The top of one of our hills 3) haha well my bestfriends are hats now 4) We made Tacos today with our pensionista 5) View from the top So this week we had transfers! :( Its sad I love Hermana Christensen but its ok changes are to help us grow and stuff.
Well my new comp is Hna Celi shes from my group of missionaries and she is from Ecuador! She is great seriously! Shes diligent and super nice. So this week was the week of miracles... We found so many new people to teach and we have lots that want to get baptized! Its like ah what is happening??? I am grateful that God trusts us to teach his precious children. So some of my favorite experiences this week were seeing how God is aware and answers his children's prayers through us if we listen and obey to the whisperings of the spirit. We talked to someone on the curb that was crying and well its always a bit awkward to talk to someone that is crying but we felt we needed to talk to her. We asked if we could sit next to her and she said ''yea'' ha we talked about who we were and the message we share about Jesus Christ. She smiled but then cried even more when we mentioned that Christ truly understood how she felt, She told us what was going on and she agreed to have the missionaries visit her, shes not from our area but its ok. We walked away and when we turned back she was reading the pamphlet we gave her! She was not crying anymore and she had hope. I love how God works through us to comfort all who have faith and are desperately looking for help. Later that same day, we met Emar. Hes a young man that somehow started to talk to us when the person we were looking for was not home. He asked questions about the church and we explained the message we share. He explained that he used to go to church and then felt ashamed from all he had done but he wanted to change, he began to cry when he explained how ashamed he felt and how he had dissapointed God. We were able to talk about Christ's atonement for us all. And how we were all able to come back no matter how far we've come. I loved talking to this young man and see him smile at the end! I have hopes that he with the help of the gospel will be able to get away from his addictions and change for the better and feel happiness and peace. Ah it was a great day really! So I spent two days with hna mitchell again ! Because our cambios had to wait til thusday since there was a big celebration in Quillacollo about the Vigen of Urkupiña and my comp could not leave her old area. It was fun remembering old times. With all of the appointments this week it was repentance and coming back .Its never too late to repent! I loved being able to testify to Jocelyn and Veronica and Emer that repentance is sweet and it works!! Familia Espinoza is doing really good! Laura and Nicolas got confirmed yesterday and Luis is preparing to be baptized soon! We are stilll teaching her sister Amanda and her husband Cesar, they are having a baby! aww I love it! And we got to teach some more of them this week too! I loved doing a she at their home last night! Laura directed it and she did so great, shes growing up so fast! She did it all backwards but it was super cute :) Rayza was a reference and we are now teaching her whole family turns out that her parents are less actives! Im excited to get to know them better. We just met their older sister Jeancarla this week and she came to church she loved the restoration and wanted to be baptized with her siblings on Sep 9th! She said she always wanted to be baptized the way Christ did: We finally found the Matias Family home! The father Richard and Trifon his brother in law were so interested in the lesson asking quetions and expressing how much they wanted to come closer to Christ especially now that they had family. It was so cool, made me think about the Father of Lamoni! Once converted they will lead their families. SO I was meditating a lot this week, and I feel so full. Full of purpose, happiness, peace and ready! I feel good Its hard to explain but I feel like life is great, like there is always a sun that comes out. Last week was hard but God is great and he answered my prayers and all was fixed. Trust in the Lord, plead unto him with Faith, do all that is in your reach and he will answer, I promise. I love you all, Hna Campana Bolivia Cochabamba Siglo XX :) 1) So we learned how to weld this week!! haha 2) At Cesar and Amanda's kitchen they love us too much. Food! 3) When Hna Mithchell was with me this week! Love the transportation here 4) My New Compi Hna Celi. Its too hot now!! 1) Lindsey and Raul! Espinoza kids 2) Rayza Jeancarla & Walter came to church!!! 3) With Daniela Perez she is the best young woman investigator, she just needs permission to be baptized. Well There are cambios :( Its so sad I love Hna Christensen too much but its time for her to leave the the 20th century or to say Siglo xx
My new comp is Hna Celi she is from Ecuador and also from my group but she goes home in Jan Ill send pics next week with her. So the week was crazy so much happened but my favorite part was definitely the baptism. Laura and Nico had the happiest faces and we all felt so much love. It was extremely hard because their older brother could not be baptized but we were very happy for his two siblings that made a covenant with God. So I struggled a lot this weekend but It has been a trial that is helping me to exercise faith and hope. I also know that God answers our prayers and comforts us in our hardest times. I felt that all day on Sunday as I read Alma 7 and a talk called Brightness of Hope and also in a Regional conference we had at church and at night meeting with the ward mission leader and our bishop. I know that God loves me and is aware of me and that when he answers our prayers immediately it is because we have done all that we can do. I felt that this weekend. I testify that Christ lives and that he suffered not only for my sins but for my pain and disappointments for my weaknesses and hopelessness. I know that we can be instruments in His hands to bless and help his children here on earth. Alma 26:3 Well that was my week. Love you all! Take care and have a wonderful week! 1) Making cookies for the baptism 2-6) Laura and Nico's Baptism!!! They are the cutest I love them so much! They were both so excited and happy to be baptized! Even after all the things that happened that day. 1) Maria Belen a cute young woman we found this last weeks 2) Argelia another young woman we are teaching! 3) Another young woman Heydi! shes also super cute her brother is a member 4)Familia Guaman! They are such good investigators they just need to come to church! 5) Ride from the bishop home! Hey there Family and Friends!
So this week was pretty awesome like always! Familia Espinoza was our whole week haha kidding but yea we were at their house like everyday teaching all three Luis Laura and Nico. So one of the days this week that we went to visit them their oldest sister was washing tons of clothes so we offered to help and she got so happy, we got to wash lots of clothes but after she felt so grateful that she invited us over to her kitchen to eat with them and we got to meet her husband Cesar and talk to them about eternal families and a bit about the church. At the end we asked if we could keep visiting them and they took a sec to look at each other and think aboout it and then Cesar said ''well I think that God makes a way for us to hear his word and if you guys somehow are here and we've met its for a reason so yes we would like you guys to keep teaching us''!!! Ahhhhh! She also said taht she was stuggling washing so many clothes on her own and that when we offered to help she felt as if God sent her angels to help her out. aww I know that when we help others we might be an answer to their prayers. We are so happy because we are starting to teach all of their family members and its so amazing to see them all changed and coming to church! There is a light in their eyes that was not there before, and I know its because of the changes they are making in their lives for the better. Today we had a ward activity of food! The best kind right. So there was all kinds of bolivian foods and then tacos hahah they wanted the missionaries to make tacos. But yea the best part was that the Espinoza family came and their sister and brother in law too. they had fun! I love teaching this family theyre so cute and receptive and they are our miracles each time we visit them. So since it was consejo this week also we learned a ton again from President Montoya. I loved 2Peter 1:1-11 but mostly verse 9. Ill let you guys look that up. So also this week was Bolivias independence day on Sunday and so the whole week the bands practiced, we heard drums rolling all week it was pretty cool then flags started appearing everywhre! & on Sunday we got to sing the national anthem I didnt know any of it but We felt very Bolivian! Life in the mission is the best I love it here, never want to go back haha kidding but I seriosuly love it here so much. The people we meet and how we get to see them change and find happiness is the best feeling ever. Love you all, Heres the pics 1) Pique machos minis for the food fair today! 2) Serving tacos today 3) With Familia Espinoza. We started to teach more of their family! Cesar and Amanda 4) With Carminic and her bf Rousbell whom we are teaching! 5) The bannana building in the Mercado Campesino on Aug 6th (Bolivia's Indep. Day) 6-7) Celebrating BOLIVIA!!! So this week was a week of learning. I really loved my studies in Luke 15 this morning. I love the parable of the prodigal son. It really touched my heart that God really is always ready to receive us with open arms if we do repent and come back! I loved this verse: ''Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.'' Luke 15:10
Truly there is joy in heaven when we repent and come unto Him. So Luis Espinoza is still doing great! He is getting baptized the 12th! We taught him some commandments this week. We taught him the Sabbath, ten commandments and tithing. He is the best. I admire his faith a lot. He said is it is a commandment then I will obey it, when we explained fasting. He is willing to do everything to keep the commandments. I love it. And well we got to teach his sister Laura and little brother Nicolas this week too.... they are also getting baptized the 12th with Luis! Its awesome! We are also teaching Jimena (theres a picture attatched) She is super cool. She had forgotten to pray all week and was again struggling. We testified of how prayer helps and that if she prayed again she would be able to feel that peace again. She wants to come to church too but is struggling to not work Sundays. Shes great though and we have lots of faith in her! She said she would pray that night again and begin to trust in Him again. So also many of our investigators this week felt they could not pray because they felt unworthy to...It was really sad, so we explained that God always wants to hear our prayers not matter how obedient we are being. Through prayer we can find peace that we cannot feel in any other way and it is also through prayer that we begin a change in our hearts to feel worthy. I called Nargila my first convert and she is doing really well! She is going to church and has friends too! It makes me super happy that she has stayed strong in the gospel! But yeah that was may week! A few of random things. a bird pooped on my comps leg during a lesson hahaha English classes are on fire with our only 2 investigators haha but its super fun so its ok. They learned how to pray in English it was so cute, Laura can now pray in English!! And we also finally got pics with the ''Cochabamba'' |
